The, in Germany born, artist studied singing, Lied and Oratorium as well as music dramatical art in Vienna at KS Walter Berry and KS Elisabeth Schwarzenberg and passed her diploma with distinction.

Frauke Schäfer gave guest appearance at the Viennese Chamber Opera, the Operetta Metropolis Baden, the municipial theatres of Klagenfurt, Bonn, Erfurt, Freiburg, at the National Theatre Mannheim and the State Operetta of Dresden. She had a regular engagement at the Theatre St. Gallen and the Opera Frankfurt for several years. Besides that she was singing at numerous festivals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

 

Most important Parts of her repertory are the Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro), Agathe (Freischütz), Lisa (Land des Lächelns), Kodnja (Lustige Witwe), Rosalinde (Fledermaus), Gräfin Mariza und Helena Zaremba (Polenblut).

   
Busy concert activities, Lied recitals, as well as radio and TV brought the artist to Austria, France, Finland, Korea, Hungary and to Switzerland. Along that she gave concert with the Musica Antiqua Cologne, with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Erfurt and the Bochum’ Symphonics.
