The Carinthian artist completed his piano studies at the Carinthian Conservatory with honours. Directly afterwards he became ‘solo’ coach at the Municipal theatre in Klagenfurt. From 2001-2003 he taught and was solo coach for all singing classes as well as master for the Opera Studio at the Carinthian Conservatory. Beside his pianist activities Christian Koch’s began to study singing privately, and was to be admired as tenor  on stage several times. 

The versatile Christian Koch is furthermore conductor and choirmaster; as assistant to Professor Rudolf Bibl Christian Koch conducted the operetta “Gräfin Mariza” (Emmerich Kálmán) at the Summer Festival Mörbisch; furthermore he was successful conducting the Waterloo Symphony and the Orchestra London.
Christian Koch is coach and musical assistant ( to Nikolaus Harnoncourt) at the Vienna Festival as well as the Festival in Salisburg.
At the present time Christian Koch lives in Vienna as free lance conductor, coach, accompanist (among others to Bernada Fink and Michael Schade) and as vocal coach to internationally famous singers.
